New ways to play

mean new ways to frame the champions and world of League. As a narrative writer contributing to different metagames (in-client minigames) and modes (transformative gameplay experiences), I explored new expressions of League across mediums. tonality, and scope.

Work includes:

  • Voiceover scripts (bark sheets)
  • Voice casting and direction sheets
  • Visual novel scripts
  • Textual dialogue and “Easter egg” interactions
  • Copyediting and proofreading support

Skills include:

  • Outlining, planning, and pitching story content to align narrative intent with leaders and collaborators
  • Co-developing visual novel scripts with fellow writers through writers’ rooms and individual iteration
  • Collaborating with gameplay designers to determine and execute upon intended narrative scope
  • Pitching directional vision for voiced announcers

Working on metagames and modes allows me to dip into more “expected” forms of games writing, like visual novel scripts with branching dialogue or flavorful UI text to support gameplay. But every project has been unique, bringing welcome challenges that tackle how to reinvent League. I love delivering new, exciting experiences to players, and modes and metagames make it their mission to do so.
